Japanese style Tanto knife

I don't just make kitchen knives! This Japanese style tanto was hand forged from 1095 carbon steel. A clear hamon was formed during the heat treating process and brought out by polishing, showing the distinction between the hard, sharp edge and the softer, more shock absorbent spine.
 
The habaki or blade collar is made from copper and has been specifically fitted to this blade.
 
Blade length from is 310mm, overall length is 415mm.
 
Sold as is, unmounted without any kind of handle or sheath for you to make your own or display it as is.
